Osoyoos for All

Families rejoice! A trip to Osoyoos in B.C.'s Okanagan means tailored fun for every member of the clan. —Noa Nichol

for mom. Since every mama we know deserves a break, check the fam in to Spirit Ridge, where the pampering is a-plus. With luxuriously appointed rooms (key: many boast separate sleeping quarters for the kiddos), a sumptuous spa (try a desert sacred mud wrap, which envelops the skin in warm detoxifying mud and hydrating lotion), a fully stocked wine-tasting room, sunny lunch patio and a fabulous restaurant overlooking a picturesque vineyard—not to mention, a sparkling pool to keep the littles busy—this resort is more than worthy of mom's seal of approval.

for the kids. There's tonnes of family fun to be had at Covert Farms, with guided hikes, farm tours (in the back of a vintage cherry red 1952 Mercury truck), in-season berry and produce picking, outdoor games, friendly animals (and staff)—the list goes on! Bring a picnic or, better yet, order some small, delectable bites in the shop (and, for the grownups, a glass or two of Covert's own organic wine), grab a seat on the patio, let the kids loose on the bounce pad and make an afternoon of it!

for dad. Whether it's dad or mom who's got a need for speed, Area 27 in nearby Oliver delivers. This exclusive membership-based luxury motorsports club boasts a race track like no other, with the flow of a classic Grand Prix circuit and all the perks of modern technology. The driving academy is open to members of the public and teaches various tips of the track (in class and on the circuit); otherwise, access is membership based. The best part? Area 27 is srrounded by breathtaking scenery in Canada’s warmest climate—the motorsport equivalent of Pebble Beach.
