Cross-Country Coats

freed heritage vancouveriteWe're not ashamed to say that we're actually looking forward to winter this year.

Why? Because it means we get to pull on a stylish new coat from the Freed Heritage collection. With more than 90 years of experience producing outerwear—not to mention, manufacturing uniforms for the likes of the RCMP, VIA Rail and Sochi’s Canadian Olympic Team—Freed "gets" Canuck winters.

freed heritage torontonianWith fur-trimmed hoods and a thin Dintex layer (which keeps you warm without bulking up the coat Michelin Man style), each piece in the Heritage line is named after a Canadian city/zen. We love the Winnipeger's and the Montrealer's flattering, nipped-in waists but, in the end, aren't sure we can resist the Torontonian's pretty plaid or the Vancouverite's fancy toggles.

Bring it on, polar vortex. We’re ready. —Karen Kwan
