First Impressions: Lululemon Selfcare

With fitness become a more integral part of our day-to-day, we're constantly searching for products that'll let us go from spin class to office to happy hour seamlessly. Well, hello Lululemon Selfcare: a line of workout essentials claiming to keep us looking (and smelling) fresh, across activities. The line includes four products suitable for pre- and post-workout in Lu's signature red and white packaging—and we couldn’t resist trying it out as soon as it became available to see if it really was a suitable solution for sweaty situations. —Vicki Duong

no-dry shampoo. We don’t always have time to shower after every sweat sesh, so it’s only fitting that Lululemon introduced a dry shampoo ($38). With green and brown algae to control oil production and argan oil to help smooth frizz and split ends, we love how evenly this one sprays—no white residue and, unlike a lot of other dry shampoos, no gritty irritation on the roots.

anti-stink deodorant. Sweating during a workout is good; smelling sweaty after stinks. Lululemon thought of everything you might need in a deodorant ($20), including a cooling affect to give pits a refresh. Available in two scents—aloe lotus and black pepper sandalwood—we love that it’s aluminum-free. Plus, its easy-spray application helps prevent bacterial growth upon reapplication.

sweat reset face moisturizer. Lululemon’s new moisturizer ($52) is designed to reset your post-workout flush back to it’s natural pre-workout glow. With a locking top this moisturizer is made for the gym (read: don’t worry about it spilling in your bag).

basic balm. Your lips lose moisture when you sweat and, combined with high-intensity breathing, a workout can leave your lips chapped. Designed to lock in moisturize, Lulu's lip balm ($16) is full of rich butters and natural oils to hydrate and protect your lips before, during and after your workout.
